It has everything from clothing brands, funky fashion, electronic shops, bookstores and designer furniture to imported groceries, beauty salons, eateries, and even an ice-skating rink.
In fact, Central World markets itself as a middle-class shopping mall, thus it is less luxurious than Siam Paragon and definitely more affordable. If you want to actually buy something in Bangkok, this is the place to go as you can find almost all you need here.

6. Mega Bangna
Great for families to spend their weekends in
| How to get there: Take the free shuttle bus (line 1) from Udom Suk BTS Station (exit 5)
| Opening hours: 10:00AM ~ 10:00PM
Mega Bangna is located halfway between Suvarnabhumi Airport and the middle of Bangkok. Only taking 15 minutes from Suvarnabhumi Airport, it’s the latest mammoth to hit the town. It’s a massive 35,000 square meters and is the largest low rise shopping mall in Southeast Asia. It’s known for housing an IKEA mall, bringing waves of D.I.Y home decorator crowds.
With “Everything Under One Roof” as their motto, they make it work. Having 450 brand shops sharing this oval-shaped shopping mall, it keeps you exploring the mall repeatedly in circles.
The mall isn’t high end like Siam Paragon or Central World, but more geared towards being a place where families want to spend their time together. So don’t expect any luxurious brands and boutique shops like you would see in Siam Paragon or Central World.
