5 Free BTS Arirang Comeback Events in Seoul

BTS is turning Seoul into a vibrant celebration with their “The City Arirang Seoul” project, to celebrate the release of their newest album Arirang, after their free comeback concert at Gwanghwamun Square on March 21. This citywide festival blends K-pop energy with iconic landmarks and a stamp tour across the city. If you missed the comeback show, many of these events are open to visit through April 19th, so read on to get the full scoop!

1. Shinsegae Square Media Facade (3/20 ~ 5/10)

Kick off your Arirang album adventures in Seoul at Shinsegae Square, where BTS appears even larger than life to promote their new album. The group takes over the massive screen outside the Shinsegae Department Store with each member greeting fans below and Arirang album teasers once every hour. Running from March 20th through May 10th, it’s a free, hourly event perfect for ARMY photo ops.

2. Cheonggyechon Love Quarter 1 & 2 (4/6 ~ 4/19)

Address: 148 Seorin-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul (Kakao Maps)

Dates: April 6~19 (Daily 19:00-22:00)


Experience the one-of-a-kind Cheonggyecheon stream transforms to the ‘Love Quarter’, commemorating the new album with mixed-media art and lighting installations. The main color scheme will be red rather than purple, to match the concept of the new album, and takes over the Mojeongye (Mojongyo Bridge) to Gwangtonggyo Bridge portions of the stream, as well as from the Beodeul Bridge to Ogansugyo Bridge.

3. Yongsan Station Love Quarter (4/6 ~ 4/19)

Address: 55 Hangangdaero 23-gil, Yongsan-gu, Seoul (Kakao Maps)

Period: April 6~19

Inspired by the Arirang album, the plaza stairs at Yongsan Station will feature glowing installations and mapped projections. Utilizing the stone walls, stairways, and surrounding trees, light and video bring the album’s messages to life, creating an immersive space for ARMY to stop by anytime during regular station hours to take photos & hang out.

4. MMCA National Museum Love Quarter (3/20 ~ 4/19)

Address: 30 Samcheong-ro, Jongno-gu, Seoul (Kakao Maps)

Period: March 20~ April 19 (Daily 10:00-19:00)

This cube-shaped installation, draped in cascading blue and white ribbons, pairs perfectly with BTS’s new title track, “Swim.” Featuring a dedicated listening zone along with this interactive space, the MMCA invites fans to dive in to the track for themselves. Stop by the courtyard of the museum to check it out, no reservation required!

5. Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP)

Address: 281 Euljiro, Jung-gu, Seoul (Kakao Maps)

a) Purple Lounge (3/13 ~ 4/12)

Dates: March 13 ~ April 12 (Daily 10:00-20:00)


Located on the 1st floor of Design Lab,  the Purple Lounge offers an intimate ARMY retreat within DDP, featuring plush seating, LP album listening stations, and a glowing purple ambiance for relaxed vibes.

b) Music Light Show (3/20 ~ 4/12)

Dates: March 20 ~ April 12 (Daily 19:00-22:00, every 30 mins)

This limited-time light show runs across DDP’s iconic structure, lighting up the night every 30 minutes in sync with Arirang tracks for a free, mesmerizing spectacle. Get your camera ready so you don’t miss a second of it!

c) ARMY Square (April 6~12)

Period: April 6~12 

Viewable at DDP’s Exhibition Hall 1, this ticketed fan space showcases rare archives, interactive installations, and more just for ARMYs.
