Jamsil now bustles with young cafe-hoppers, restaurant-hunters, and nature-lovers. There are so many Instagrammable places in Jamsil, so if you love Instagram, cute cafes, and restaurants, head over there. 

Originally just an old residential area, Jamsil started undergoing major changes when the tallest building in Korea—Lotte World Tower—was built. Hip cafes and quirky restaurants entering the scene, especially in Songnidan-gil. Locals now head to this area to dine at hidden, but mouth-watering restaurants, take photos in aesthetic cafes, and of course, finish the day walking along the Seokchon lake.

To get to Jamsil: Take the metro to Seokchon Station for easy access to Songnidan-gil and Seokchon Lake, or to Jamsil Station to visit the Lotte World and Lotte World Tower.

1. Godosik

Godosik serves delicious Korean barbeque pork belly (samgyeopsal) and doenjang jjigae (Korean soybean paste stew). The best part of this restaurant is that the servers cook the pork for you, unlike most barbeque restaurants. If you want to try Korean barbeque pork belly with amazing side dishes, stop by this place! Keep in mind that there is usually a long queue if you visit during peak dinner time.

2. Mija-Sikdang

Mija-Sikdang is famed for its Instagram-worthy pollack roe pork cutlet, served with tangy jalapeño sauce on the side, among many other fusion dishes. Their adorable plating of the simple dishes and their antique and cozy interior make them into the list of Instagrammable places in Jamsil. Head over at their opening time to dodge the waiting line, to fully enjoy their at-home dining experience!

3. LaLa Bread

From gorgeous open sandwiches and healthy salads to their celebrity menu, strawberry toast, LaLa bread is the perfect brunch spot. They have all you need, from sweet to savory, and from decadent “almost-dessert”s to healthy green bowls. Take a sunny seat on their second floor and enjoy the mouthwatering brunch with a cup of fragrant latte in hand.

1. Peach Gray

If you consider yourself artsy, head over to Peach Gray. Here, you’re served with fluffy soufflé pancakes, good coffee, and fruity ades, along with a palette of watercolor paint. On a postcard-sized paper, paint away all you want. Be careful though: you need to pay a small extra fee if you want more paper! So cross your t’s and dot your i’s, and make sure to Instagram your final artwork!

Onhwa is a famous cafe for its souffle pancakes and hand drip coffee. You can enjoy the unique and cozy atmosphere of the cafe while enjoying its premium souffle pancakes. 2. Seokchon Lake

Spend your day taking a walk around Seokchon lake. You’ll get to enjoy a patch of greenery and nature in the middle of this bustling city. In the spring, you can watch beautiful cherry blossoms in full bloom along the lake. If it’s breezy enough, go ahead and take a long walk and take in the beautiful views before heading to your hotel.
