The awards season is approaching so get ready, K-pop and K-drama fans!

Filled with the annual award ceremonies and other mega K-pop awards events, Korea’s awards season is something you definitely can’t miss as a fan of K-pop or K-drama.

For those who wish to attend, see below for the dates and schedule of the upcoming events!

1. The 29th High1 Seoul Music Awards 2020 – Jan 30

High1 Seoul Music Awards is an awards show founded in 1990 that is presented annually by Sports Seoul. The presentation ceremony features special stages of prominent artists and recognize great achievements in Korea music industry.

2. The Fact Music Awards 2020 – Feb 29

The Fact Music Awards is a relatively new awards ceremony, featuring some of the hottest K-pop stars you don’t want to miss. Following its huge success last year, this year’s round of festivities are set to be on a whole other level, especially with an even more star-studded lineup. 3. The 34th Golden Disc Awards 2020

Presented annually by the Music Industry Association of Korea, the Golden Disk Awards recognizes the most outstanding musical achievements throughout the year. The upcoming 34th edition looks like one of the most closely fought yet as there are so many outstanding nominees!

4. Gaon Chart Music Awards 2019

Gaon Chart Music Awards is an annual music award ceremony held by Gaon Chart, the national music record chart in South Korea. The awards are granted based on sales of songs and albums in the previous year.

The SBS Awards Festival (SBS) celebrates all the accomplishments in the TV programs hosted by the Seoul Broadcasting System (SBS) throughout the year. As a part of the SBS Awards Festival, SBS Gayo Daejeon features the best artists of the year in the K-pop industry.

7. 2019 KBS Gayo Daechukje (KBS Song Festival)

The KBS Song Festival, also known as “Gayo Daechukje”, is another major year-end K-pop event held every last Friday of December by the Korean Broadcasting System (KBS). The hottest K-pop stars will receive awards for their outstanding success over the past year. Plus, there will be lots of memorable performances by the K-pop icons.

  2. I know this is way too early, but do you have any idea when is the earliest date u will know about this year’s year-end festivals? I need to plan and buy the plane ticket at least one month before the festivals start. Thanks!

    1. Hello Misha! Unfortunately, the dates for the year-end festivals and events are usually released few weeks before the actual dates. This goes the same for the ticket sales. We will try our best to update the information as soon as the dates are released! Thank you. 🙂

    1. Hi Ruby, we are updating this post as new information is released. Unfortunately, those websites of broadcasters are mainly in Korean. If you read Korean, it will be easy to navigate.

  4. Just booked my tickets through trazy for the seoul music awards during my upcoming trip. I received my confirmation email, but was wondering how and when I would receive the ticket.

      We do not have plans to provide booking service for the event mentioned at the moment. We would recommend you to contact at ‘’ a month before the concert date for more exact information 🙂
