1. Bulguksa Temple

As one of the most well-known and revered historical sites of Gyeongju, the Bulguksa Temple has been designated a World Cultural Heritage since 1995. Its significance as an architectural site is actually one of the factors that make it one of the best places to visit Gyeongju in Spring.
Imagine yourself surrounded by a flurry of pink cherry blossoms with a magnificent view of the Bulguksa Temple in the background!


2. Cheomseongdae Observatory

At the heart of Gyeongju lies another iconic landmark of Gyeongju, the Cheomseongdae Observatory, built to observe the movements of heavenly bodies. Taking into the fact that it was built over 2000 years ago, it is regarded with much importance historically.
In the Spring, the fields around the Cheomseongdae Observatory are covered with yellow canola flowers as well as rosy-tinged cherry blossoms, bringing the area to life!


3. Bomun Lake

In the downtown area of Gyeongju, you’ll come across the gigantic Bomun Lake, which itself is a sight to behold. During the cherry blossom season which is in full swing in April, it becomes an even more breathtaking place, perfect for catching sight of the cherry blossoms or even just a peaceful evening stroll.


4. Daereungwon Tomb Complex

| Location: 31-1 Hwangnam-dong, Gyeongju-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do

Right above the Cheomseongdae Observatory lies the Daereungwon Tomb Complex, a collection of giant mounds. Including royal tombs from way over a millennium, travel back in time and experience the history of Gyeongju up close. As another historical site, it is a sight you don’t want to miss out on with cherry blossoms fluttering around in the Spring breeze.


5. Woljeonggyo Bridge

| Location: 48 Gyo-dong, Gyeongju-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do

A simply magnificent sight to set your eyes on, not only are the intricate details and design of the bridge up close a must-see, but also the view from afar.
