If you’re active on social media, then you’re probably no stranger to the hit Netflix show Kpop Demon Hunters, an animated musical that follows Hunter/x (pronounced Huntrix), a world-famous girl group battling dark forces while balancing the pressures of idol fame. It’s captivated audiences all over the world not only for its soundtrack and vivid storyline, but also for its portrayal of Seoul’s most iconic spots as backdrops. We’ve compiled them all here for your next trip to the city!

1. Bukchon Hanok Village

Address: 53 Bukchon-ro, Jongno-gu, Seoul (Kakao Maps)

Opening Hours: Daily 10:00-17:00

Bukchon is one of Seoul’s most artistic and picturesque neighborhoods, known for its winding alleys and traditional Korean houses (called “hanok”). In Kpop Demon Hunters, this iconic neighborhood became the backdrop for Rumi & Jinu’s first secret meeting. (Choo-choo train pjs & all!)

The village is a charming blend of old-world architecture and modern city views, a place where you can wander the alleys, rent traditional Korean attire (called “hanbok), try traditional crafts like calligraphy and gold leaf printing, and explore art galleries!

2. Naksan Park City Wall

Address: 41 Naksan-gil, Jongno-gu, Seoul (Kakao Maps)

KPop Demon Hunters recreates the Seoul City Wall Trail, with rumi & jinu interacting atop the historic stone path overlooking the city.

Stretching for nearly 19 kilometers, the Seoul City Wall Trail dates back to the late 14th century, when it was built to protect the old city of Hanyang (now Seoul). In the film, the wall’s winding path and historic gates make the perfect meetup location for Rumi & Jinu.


Today, it offers one of the most unique urban hiking experiences with trails divided into multiple sections, each with its own distinctive architecture. Many hikers take part in a “stamp tour” where they collect stamps at the four main gates (Dongdaemun, Namdaemun, Seodaemun, and Bukdaemun) for a special completion certificate.

3. COEX Screen Square

Address: 513 Yeongdong-daero, Gangnam-gu, Seoul (Kakao Maps)

In KPop Demon Hunters, COEX Screen Square becomes a dazzling stage where larger-than-life digital performances light up the Seoul skyline.

After leaving exit 5 or 6 from Samseong Station (Line 2), you’ll find Korea’s largest curved LED billboard. This stunning display is a focal point of the COEX, which is a large convention, exhibition, and shopping complex. The screen, which is as big as four basketball courts, rotates between stunning life-like visual installations like crashing waves, K-pop music videos, product launches, and artistic spectacles. You’ll see it featured heavily in Kpop Demon Hunters’ climax, as the Saja Boys invite fans to a special live performance.

Make sure you also check out the Starfield COEX mall, which offers everything from fashion and beauty to the COEX aquarium, a cinema, and the Starfield Library, which is another popular attraction for photos. There’s so much to see and do that one day won’t be enough to explore it all!

4. Seoul Olympic Stadium

Huntrix transforms the Seoul Olympic Stadium into a glowing concert arena filled with energy and the words “up up up with our voices.”

The Seoul Olympic Stadium was the centerpiece for the 1998 Summer Olympics and the 1986 Asian Games, and remains the largest stadium in all of South Korea, with a capacity of nearly 70,000 seats. In Kpop Demon Hunters, this stadium is central to the opening scene where Huntrix opens their sold-out show with “How It’s Done”. Whatever the season, there’s always something happening at this venue.


It’s a top-tier venue for sold-out K-pop concerts and international acts, as well as a variety of festivals and sporting events throughout the year.

5. Namsan Seoul Tower (N Seoul Tower)

Address: 105 Namsan Park-gil, Yongsan-gu, Seoul (Kakao Maps)

Opening Hours: Daily 10:00-23:00 (observation tower closes at 22:30)

Namsan Seoul Tower (also known as N Seoul Tower) is a cinematic backdrop in the film, with pivotal scenes unfolding with Seoul glittering below. It is one of Seoul’s most recognizable landmarks, standing at a height of 236 meters on the summit of Namsan Mountain.


Originally constructed as South Korea’s first general radio wave tower, it now serves as a popular destination for locals and tourists for its unbeatable 360-degree views at its observation deck, cable car that offers scenic views of the city, park lined with walking trails and pavilions, and restaurants and cafes with equally breathtaking views, It’s also a popular spot for couples to buy a love lock, write their wish or name, and attach it to the railings.

6. Myeongdong Shopping Street

Address: Myeongdong 2-ga, Jung-gu, Seoul (Kakao Maps)

If you’re visiting Seoul, Myeongdong is bound to be on your list of places to visit. This vibrant shopping street is a paradise for fashion, K-beauty, street food, and pop culture enthusiasts. In Kpop Demon Hunters, it becomes a stage for the SajaBoy’s debut hit song “Soda Pop”, instantly recognisable to those who’ve walked its bustling streets.


The whole area is pedestrian-friendly, so you can roam freely. Make sure you visit in the late afternoon to evening to enjoy night market snacks and street shows like busking for the full experience!

Gyeongbokgung Palace stands as Seoul’s most iconic and grand historical site, representing the Joseon Dynasty and centuries of Korean tradition. Existing since 1395, it has survived wars, invasions, and even near-total destruction, with ongoing restorations. The palace plays an important part in the lead Jinu’s past & the fate that led him to become a demon.

Today, it is a popular attraction with so much to do, such as watching the famous Changing of the Guard ceremony, touring palatial halls and pavilions, visiting the National Palace Museum of Korea and National Folk Museum of Korea (both of which are housed on the palace grounds), and dressing in Hanbok (which grants free entry into the palace).
