1.About Safari World Bangkok
Safari Park
Safari Park, one of the two main areas in Safari World Bangkok, is where the real safari adventure begins! Stretching up to 8 km, a drive-through Safari Park in your car or coach will provide you will the rare opportunity to get up close (but not too close!) with some of the most magnificent members of the Animal Kingdom.
The whole trip across this massive park will take around 45 minutes, guiding you past many of the herbivores first such as zebras, giraffes, rhinos as well as many species of birds! Make use of this great chance to truly admire these amazing creatures and observe them in their natural habitats instead of cages.
The second part of the drive will take you into the much-awaited predator’s den. This is where you’ll get to meet the “intimidating” lions, tigers, and bears going about their daily lives just taking a nap in the shade or maybe enjoying a bath.
Nonetheless, it’s nowhere safe to provoke them for any reason at all. So, just remember to keep to the safety guidelines, such as no honking and driving slowly, to enjoy a safe but thrilling safari adventure!
Marine Park
For a more traditional zoo experience, head over to Marine Park! Here, you’ll get more hands-on experiences and even see some of the animals in action as they perform in various shows! It doesn’t matter which kind of animal you’re into, whether it be feathery birds or slippery underwater creatures, Marine Park has them all! It’s a great place, especially for little kids, to really interact with all the different animals there and get to learn more about them. 1. Tiger Feeding Show
The Tiger Feeding Show is one reason to head over to Safari World Bangkok early in the morning. This unique showcase takes place only once a day at 10.00 a.m. (subject to change) at Safari Park. During the drive-through, you’ll be able to catch this truly spine-tingling sight of one of the caretakers feeding several tigers pieces of chicken from an enclosed cage. Imagine being surrounded by a pack of these ‘ferocious’ creatures! The Tiger Feeding Show is definitely a show you do not want to miss!
2. Feeding Giraffes (Safari Terrace)
Just when you thought you were too short for giraffe-feeding, Safari World Bangkok offers the opportunity-of-a-lifetime to experience just that! From on top of Safari Terrace, you won’t have to stretch out your necks achingly to get a good look at these long-necked creatures anymore. 4. Directions: How to Get There
Safari World Bangkok is about 40 km north of Bangkok. It’ll take you roughly around 45 mins to one-way, depending on where you’re departing from. Like anywhere else you would go, you can hop into a taxi, take public transport or book a transfer service to get there.
Taxi / Grab
One way to get there is to take a taxi. The taxi fare will really depend on where you’re taking from and whether or not you can haggle down the prices. Nonetheless, it will cost you about 700 baht (20 USD) and double that for a round-trip. So, we recommend taking the taxi or grab to those who aren’t really on a budget and can afford to spend a few bucks more, or are traveling in big groups. Otherwise, we suggest you opt for other modes of transport.
Public Transport
If you’re a good navigator, public transport isn’t such a bad option either. Of course, it has its ups and downs but taking public transport will provide you with the opportunity to explore Bangkok up close and save you quite a few bucks on your trip!
