There are countless cafes and restaurants in Nimman Road. You’ll find some excellent local restaurants alongside trendy concept eateries. 1) The Barisotel
– Opening time: 8.00 AM – 9.30 PM
– Location: Thailand, Chiang Mai, Mueang Chiang Mai District, Chiang Mai, 7/2 Soi 9 Nimmanhaemin Road Muang.
It is a new and unique branch of The Baristro in the concept of café and hotel. The minimal ornament and the tasty menu will never let you get disappointed. The signature menu is the Golden Thread Roti. The thin Roti(Thai Pancake) with the Golden Thread(Traditional Thai dessert) and Whip Cream.
2) Rustic & Blue
– Opening time: 8.30 AM – 10.00 PM
– Location: 2/1 Nimmana Haeminda Rd Lane 7, Tambon Su Thep, Amphoe Mueang Chiang Mai, Chang Wat Chiang Mai 50200, Thailand
It is famous for the healthy and yummy dishes. The ambiance completely represents its concept of a farm shop. The signature menu is Maple Chicken & Cheddar Cheese Waffle.
3) Brown Café ブラウン
– Opening time: 10.00 AM – 10.00 PM
– Location: Su Thep, Mueang Chiang Mai District, Chiang Mai 50200, Thailand
It is the perfect combination of Japanese decoration style and Taiwanese desserts. The signature menu is “Brown: the Taiwanese snowflake dessert. Check it out yourself and see which place is your most favorite!
4) Ristr8to
– Opening Hours: 07.00 AM – 6.00 PM
– Location: Nimmana Haeminda 15/3, Tambon Su Thep, Amphoe Mueang Chiang Mai, Chang Wat Chiang Mai 50200, Thailand
It is arguably the best café in Chiang Mai. Ristr8to is run by the famous barista who won the World Latte Art Champion in 2017. Not only do they have the best coffee in Chiang Mai, they also have a very cozy atmosphere.
5) Tong Tem Toh
– Opening hours: 11.00 AM – 9.00 PM (Q line always starts at 11.30 AM!)
– Location: Nimmana Haeminda 13, Chiang Mai 50200, Thailand
Tong Tem Toh is the place to go if you want to have the authentic northern Thai cuisine in Chiang Mai. They always have a long queue, but you can order while waiting for a table and food comes promptly after you are seated.
2. Learn to cook Thai food

If you are a true food lover, you will really enjoy the Thai cooking class. Thai cooking class is actually kind of a rite of passage for every traveler visiting Chiang Mai. Nimman Road is also home to one of the best cooking schools in Chiang Mai, called Basil Cookery School. The hosts are incredibly warm and welcoming, and you can learn any 7 dishes on your choices!

3. Check out the insect museum

There is a very unique museum in Nimman Road called the Museum of World Insects and Natural Wonders. It is a private museum with many rooms filled with bugs. The owners are very passionate about the collections and they would gladly show you around explaining every insect in the museum.

The shopping scene in Nimman is perhaps the most energetic in Chiang Mai. Nimman is the place where you can find the most fashionable lifestyle malls in the city. Instead of just wandering around and looking at what’s out there, we recommend checking out the following places first!

Maya Lifestyle Shopping Center is a mega-sized mall and urban lifestyle hub in Chiang Mai. 2) One Nimman

One Nimman is located at Nimman Soi 1, and it offers various entertainment options for you such as shopping, food, lifestyle and recreational activities! At One Nimman, you will find leading brands and independent shops selling design items crafted by local manufacturers. It is also the famous spot of the organic supermarket which has a wide array of fresh agricultural products.
