In Korea, university festivals are vibrant celebrations that showcase the dynamic culture and spirit of youth.

Typically taking place in spring, these festivals typically feature a diverse array of activities, including performances, food stalls known as ‘pochas’, as well as various events. Students can expect to immerse themselves in a lively atmosphere filled with music, dance, and camaraderie as students come together to celebrate their academic achievements and enjoy a break from their studies.

Sometimes the celebrity lineup is kept a secret until the day itself, with some of the top A-list artists being invited like BLACKPINK, PSY, and more! From traditional performances to modern entertainment, university festivals offer a glimpse into the vibrant and energetic campus life of Korean universities.

Another popular university festival taking place is Rachios: Wave at Hanyang University! An eagerly anticipated event each year, it draws many students and citizens alike. Although the center stage is reserved for students, the amphitheater is open to all!

Known for its diverse performances, exhibitions, pochas, and game corners, the festival offers something for everyone. You can even win some freebies from the various booths prepared or catch a quick bite at one of the student-run pochas too! With various clubs and academic societies participating, attendees can expect a vibrant atmosphere filled with energy and passion!
